# pa-passthrough

Pass input through unchanged for debugging and testing pipelines

## Installation

This is a CmdForge tool. It's available in the PA2 project's tool registry and called via subprocess or command-line pipe.

## Usage

```bash
# Basic usage - pass text through
echo "Hello, world!" | pa-passthrough
# Debug pipeline data flow
echo '{"key": "value"}' | pa-passthrough
# Verify input is reaching a pipeline stage
some-command | pa-passthrough | next-command
```

## Arguments

This tool takes no arguments - it simply passes stdin to stdout unchanged.

## How It Works

1. **passthrough** - Reads input from stdin and outputs it verbatim without modification

This tool is particularly useful for:
- Debugging pipeline data flow between stages
- Verifying input format before complex processing
- Testing pipeline connectivity
- Creating breakpoints in multi-stage pipelines

## Dependencies

None - this is a pure passthrough operation with no external dependencies.
