Delete documents from a ChromaDB vector collection by their IDs
# pa-vector-delete Delete documents from a ChromaDB vector collection by their IDs ## Installation This is a CmdForge tool. It's designed to be used via pipe or direct invocation after installation through CmdForge. ## Usage ```bash # Delete documents by piping IDs (newline-separated) echo "doc-id-1 doc-id-2 doc-id-3" | pa-vector-delete --path ~/.pa2/data/chroma # Delete from a specific collection echo "memory-123 memory-456" | pa-vector-delete --path ~/.pa2/data/chroma --collection conversations # Delete a single document echo "doc-to-delete" | pa-vector-delete --path /path/to/chroma/db ``` ## Arguments | Flag | Variable | Default | Description | |------|----------|---------|-------------| | `--path` | path | *(required)* | ChromaDB persist directory | | `--collection` | collection | `memories` | Collection name | ## How It Works This tool executes a single-step pipeline: 1. **delete_documents** - Connects to the specified ChromaDB collection and deletes all documents whose IDs are provided via stdin (one ID per line). Returns a confirmation message with the count of deleted documents. The tool reads document IDs from stdin, connects to the ChromaDB instance at the specified path, and removes the matching documents from the collection. ## Dependencies None
